We are a well-established fire protection company with a strong and growing client base seeking a Portable Fire Extinguisher (PFE) Technician to join our team. This role involves inspecting fire extinguisher equipment at customer locations as well as servicing equipment at our company facility.
We are looking for someone with experience and certifications in fire extinguisher inspection and service, but we are willing to train the right candidate who is motivated and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of portable fire extinguishers at client locations
- Service, recharge, and maintain all types and sizes of fire extinguishers
- Conduct testing and maintenance according to applicable safety standards
- Complete accurate inspection and service documentation
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company at customer sites
- Assist with extinguisher service and maintenance at our facility
Qualifications
- Fire extinguisher technician certification preferred (NFPA knowledge a plus)
- Experience in fire protection equipment inspection or service preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work both in the field and in a service shop environment
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently
