About the Role:
The Utility Team Member supports kitchen and service operations by ensuring all dishwashing, cleaning, and sanitation tasks are completed to the highest standard. This behind-the-scenes role is essential for keeping workstations, prep areas, and equipment clean, safe, and functional. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
What you will do:
- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, pots, and pans according to safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, work surfaces, and equipment.
- Remove trash and recyclables regularly, following airport and company waste disposal guidelines.
- Refill cleaning supplies and monitor dish area for proper stock of detergents and tools.
- Ensure compliance with all health and sanitation standards.
- Support other kitchen staff during busy periods, including basic prep or cleaning tasks as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to leadership immediately.
What you will bring:
- Previous experience in a dish or utility role is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to pass an airport background check and qualify for badging.
- Experience in a commercial kitchen or food service setting.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
