What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist position at Plouse Precision Manufacturing?
Available Shifts
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts
What You’ll Be Doing
- Set up CNC mills and lathes using proven and new programs
- optimize proven programs for unmanned / lights-out runs
- Verify first-article parts and monitor process stability
- Perform in-process inspection using standard metrology tools
- Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Work with programming and quality teams to maintain consistency
What We’re Looking For
- Experience setting up Mazak, Haas, or Mori-Seiki CNC machines
- Familiarity with Fanuc and/or Mitsubishi controls
- Working knowledge of G-code and M-code
- Experience with 4-axis and/or 5-axis machining (Milling)
- Strong measurement skills (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, comparators)
- Ability to read blueprints and understand geometric tolerancing
- Solid grasp of geometry and basic trigonometry
Nice to have (not required):
- CMM operation or programming experience
- Exposure to Mastercam
