About this Position Junior/Intermediate Business Analyst, able to work on small to Medium strategic projects with supervision of Senior BA. Requires basic understanding and knowledge of business methods, processes, requirements, and standards. Able to assist Senior BA/PM to communicate with multiple project stakeholders including development, QA, business team, marketing, and legal. Note: This position has a hybrid work schedule with 1 day/week at the Duluth, GA office. Responsibilities & Qualifications Job Description Requirement Elicitation: Identify key business requirements through one of more methods including interviews, end user feedback, technical support content, and requirements meetings. Document business requirements in a suitable format that communicates the specific functionality that will be developed for the projects. Assists the Senior Business Analyst /Project Manager in facilitating the Project meetings. Requirement Analysis & Design: Analyze current state of the application and assist in creating target state documentation including wireframe, process model, and business rules etc. Familiarize tools and techniques required to produce documentation, training and online help materials. Participate in meetings with functional user areas to define business system requirements and to resolve problems in existing areas Research and recommend system improvements and enhancements. Create user specifications and facilitate the production application including issue management and enhancements. Assist Senior Business Analyst and Design team to ensure final UI is in adherence to the documented business requirements Requirement Life Cycle Management & Monitoring: Identifies and escalates risks and issues to the Project Manager. Perform root cause analysis for identified defects during testing phases. Communicate project scope through entire software development life cycle including documentation of requirements, testing, and implementation. Stakeholder Management: Works with user groups and departments, including Compliance, to obtain input and approval on all materials where appropriate Act as liaison between the business users and IT to ensure that projects meet outlined objectives and resolve system issues Learning & Development: Regularly completes required learning related to job functions. Actively seeks out training and development opportunities. Regularly demonstrate expanded knowledge. Minimum requirements: High school diploma required Minimum 1-2 years’ related experience in operations support (i.e. projects, compliance, etc.) for life insurance industry Requires basic understanding and knowledge of business methods, processes, requirements, and standards.
