What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Maintenance Technician position at Pleasant View Gardens?
Job Summary:
Provide support necessary to maintaining equipment that is crucial to the quality floral production including the equipment and both our Loudon and Pembroke facilities. Ensure all equipment is operating in a fully functioning capacity, and that both locations are maintained.
Essential Functions:
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools and power tools in accordance with NEC standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical layouts.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems, ensuring proper wiring and safety protocols are followed.
- Utilize testing equipment such as ohm meters, volt meters to diagnose electrical issues effectively.
- Research, provide recommendations, quote, plan and execute upgrades to facilities and production equipment ensuring they meet current Proven Winners standards.
- Install wiring, water, and irrigation systems, cooling systems, etc.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, tracking and documenting progress with each project.
- Plan, assemble, install, inspect, maintain and repair of electrical devices, systems or components.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge and experience on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical competencies.
- Demonstrate excellent time management, planning, attention to detail, organization, decision making, and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrate ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
- Required to be on rotating schedule (off hours and/ or weekends) to respond to events, emergencies, and incidents.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- 2-4 years of field experience, trade school, or apprenticeship.
- Active Journeyman's/ Masters licensure.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and relevant safety standards.
- O.S.H.A. 10 or O.S.H.A. 30 preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Physical Aspects:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
