POSITION: Cashier
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: High school graduate, preferred
2. Experience: Appropriate experience for position
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Building principals and food service director
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: School term, salaried
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:
Collecting and depositing lunch money and scanning student/faculty lunch cards
at lunch.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Answers phone calls and questions having to do with lunch program and student
account balances.
2. Takes and records lunch money.
3. Takes lunch tickets through lunch lines. Handwritten if the internet is down.
Putting all information in when the internet is back up.
4. Help head cook with production records.
5. Make deposits once or twice a week.
6. Keep a deposit book, and report deposit amounts to the bookkeeper.
7. Make sure lunch money balances each week.
8. Should be in sufficient health to perform the essential functions of the job.
9. Send regular correspondence to parents for unpaid meal balances.
10. Assist cooks and food service director as needed.
11. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by food service director
and/or administrator.
