Wage:$11.75/hour
Part-time, non-benefitted, non-exempt
GENERAL PURPOSE
This position is a year-round and part time. It requires a flexible work schedule that may include various shifts, such as: early mornings, midday, and evening shifts, Monday - Saturday. Functions And Duties
Greet all patrons
Provide general information on recreation activities, programs and facilities
Answer incoming phone calls and transferring to proper staff when necessary
Take registrations and payments for recreation programs
Fill out daily cash reports and balance cash receipts when needed
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the Recreation Center
Attend staff planning, training and development meetings
Communicate with other staff in order to successfully resolve issues and problems in a timely manner
Other duties as assigned
Education
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma
Skills/Abilities
Skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when required
Good public relations skills
This position may require use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.
Experience Required
Experience working in an office setting in a recreation or community center setting preferred but not necessary.
