PRN at both of our AFC homes. located just 14 miles apart.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide exceptional support and care to individuals with diverse needs. In this role, you will be a vital part of enhancing the quality of life for residents by assisting with daily activities, administering basic health care, and fostering a safe, respectful environment. Your energy and positive attitude will help create a nurturing atmosphere where residents feel valued, supported, and empowered to live their best lives. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote independence and dignity.
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents’ health stability.
• Support residents with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols.
• Provide specialized care for individuals living with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding assistance, and ensuring proper nutrition for residents.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of resident spaces.
• Support residents in community or home settings by assisting with mobility/walkers
• Engage in social activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care plans.

Skills

• Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments.
• Knowledge of ADLs assistance techniques and dementia or Alzheimer’s care best practices.
• Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and understand medication protocols.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as assisting with mobility safely.
• Valid driver’s license for community-based care or transportation duties.
