Job Summary
Plaza Chrysler Dodge is seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel/Fleet Technician to join our growing service team. If your experienced in diesel diagnostics, enjoy working on a variety of fleet vehicles and want consistent work with strong earning potential- this is the opportunity for you.
Duties
- Perform detailed inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel engines (Cummins experience preferred)
- Perform repairs on fleet vehicles including trucks, vans, and commercial units.
- Handle electrical diagnostics, drivability concerns, and advanced trouble shooting
- Complete work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- Maintain accurate, work orders, and documentation of repairs performed on various types of warranty and customer pay repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing maintenance
- Work closely with service advisors and management to ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements
- 3 years of diesel and/or fleet repair experience
- Strong diagnostic skills (scan tools, electriclal, troubleshooting)
- Experience with heavy-duty, medium-duty, or light-duty diesel trucks
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused approach
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- ASE certifications and/or manufacturer training is a plus
- Valid driver's license
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
