At playgeni, we’re inventing the future of play. Our mission is to build physical products that bring artificial intelligence and generative storytelling to the hands of every child in the world. We are a small team of designers and engineers from MIT and Harvard who believe play should spark curiosity and drive learning. We are building a storytelling toy that lets kids create endless audio adventures with the help of AI.
playgeni is hiring a Marketing Lead – someone who will define how we launch and grow our product from US to international markets. This is a senior level position ideal for someone who can help define playgeni’s positioning, turn customer insights into high impact campaigns, be hands-on in creative production, iterate, and scale quickly.

The Job
- Full funnel ownership. Own end-to-end integration across paid, owned, and earned channels. Ensuring consistency of message while adapting to channel and funnel best practices.
- Define insight-driven objectives/creative briefs, track success metrics for launches, campaigns, and surface insights to inform future strategy.
- Lead the planning and execution of campaigns, expect to be working heavily on creative production at the beginning. Familiar with building and adopting AI workflows to automate creative production.
- Disciplined in planning and prioritization. Build analytics and manage day-to-day workflow to ensure tight feedback loops and high-quality, on-strategy execution.
- Deeply understand our brand, product, and target families, and tap into the cultural moments and channels that matter—from Reddit and group chats to Facebook, summer camps, and library events—including the child-and-AI policy landscape.
- Build and grow the team: hire and manage contractors and freelancers.
- Lead IRL events such as tradeshows and activations workshops across different venues, museums, libraries, schools, across different cities.
- Work closely with the Product and Business team to ensure timelines, alignment on product features and IP partnerships.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in D2C brand marketing, integrated marketing at a consumer brand, ideally in the kid consumer space.
- Demonstrated success as a hands-on builder and fixer: optimizes the funnel, builds segmented campaigns, tracks conversion at each stage, spots weak points, and is obsessed with tweaking and experimenting continuously.
- Strong understanding of channel dynamics, budget planning, and analytics.
- Strong hands-on skill in graphic design and efficiency in producing creative assets.
- Exceptional storytelling, writing, and live communication ability. Can translate positioning and customer insight into clear, inspiring creative direction.
- Strong commitment to embracing and leverage AI tools in day-to-day tasks.

- This is a full-time position with a base salary of $100,000-$150,000 depending on experience, plus an equity stake.
