Job Summary
The Human Resources Admin will assist in "People Operations" for Players Edge Services (PES). This role reports to the HR team and assists with employee relations, recruitment, compensation, benefits enrollment, and leave administration. You will be a resource for people management needs for the HR team and assist with regulatory compliance regarding employee licensing at PES with respect to the Bureau of Gambling Control (BGC) and the California Gambling Control Commission (CGCC).
Key Responsibilities
- Labor & Employee Relations
- Assist with daily HR administrative tasks as assigned.
- Assist with investigations into workplace grievances, harassment claims,or internal ethics violations.
- Help with technical advice and knowledge to others within the human resources discipline.
- Help manage relationships with our client casinos and card rooms with respect to any Human Resource issues and interactions with client staff.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Assist in conducting annual salary surveys to ensure regional competitiveness.
- Assist with administration of health benefits, 401(k) programs, and workers' compensation claims.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field (Master’s or SHRM-SCP/SPHR preferred).
- Experience: 5 years of HR experience
- Legal Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of California Labor Code and Federal employment laws.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Operational Agility: Comfort working in a 24/7 environment where weekend and evening availability may be required for critical issues.
- Discretion: Proven ability to handle sensitive information with extreme confidentiality.
- Experience using Paycom.
