Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate with a focus on sports merchandise. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a welcoming store environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and retail sales, along with experience operating POS systems and cash registers. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs, with an emphasis on sports-related merchandise.
• Operate POS systems and cash registers efficiently to process sales transactions accurately.
• Manage cash handling procedures, including giving correct change and processing various payment methods.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displays are attractive.
• Provide knowledgeable advice about products, especially sports equipment and apparel, to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Support inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and inventory counts as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment.

Experience

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially within sports or activewear retail environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is required.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for sports are highly desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele.

Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
