Winter Sales Associate – Part-Time
Join our team at Play It Again Sports Oshkosh! We’re looking for an enthusiastic, dependable Winter Sales Associate who enjoys working with people and creating a great customer experience.
Knowledge or experience in winter sports—especially hockey, downhill skiing, or snowboarding—is preferred, but not required. Whether your experience comes from playing, coaching, working in the industry, or simply enjoying the sport, winter sports knowledge is a plus. We’re also happy to work with someone who is eager to learn.
This is a part-time position (15–30 hours per week) with the opportunity to develop retail, customer service, and sales skills while working with a team that is passionate about sports and serving the local community.

Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Help customers find the right products and equipment for their needs.
- Provide helpful product recommendations and learn about the sporting goods we carry.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.
- Answer customer questions in person and over the phone.
- Assist with buying, evaluating, and processing used sporting goods.
- Stock shelves and maintain organized, attractive merchandise displays.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and counting merchandise.
- Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and inviting.
- Support overall store operations and contribute to team goals.
Qualifications
- Knowledge or experience in hockey, downhill skiing, or snowboarding is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Friendly and professional phone etiquette.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Comfortable handling cash and performing basic math calculations.
- Willingness to learn about new products and different sports.
- Ability to learn and apply sales and upselling techniques.
- Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred, but not required.
