Role Description
As we prepare for a busy year ahead, Play Interactive is looking for an Accountant to join our growing team! We work across pop culture, anime, and fandom communities—from local activations to large regional and national events.
What you’ll do:
- Manage budgets and track expenses and revenue across projects and general operations
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including invoices and vendor payments
- Prepare financial summaries and reports (projects, monthly, quarterly, and annual)
- Reconcile records across spreadsheets and systems like QuickBooks and Airtable
- Support compliance, audits, and year-end reporting
- Process and review expenses including staff travel, vendors, office costs, and supplies
- Monitor and reconcile cash flow when applicable
- Identify discrepancies and reconcile records across spreadsheets and systems like Airtable and accounting software like Quickbooks
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll while complying with relevant laws and regulations.
What we’re looking for:
- 3 years of accounting or finance experience (event-based or project-driven environments a plus)
- Strong GAAP knowledge, Excel skills, and Google Suite experience
- Experience with QuickBooks (Airtable is a big plus)
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple projects independently
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Clear communicator who’s comfortable collaborating with a small team
Salary : $45,000 - $60,000
