Overview
Play Cousins Collective (PCC) nurtures a community of care around children and families in Louisville, Kentucky. Engagement Specialists are tasked with inviting and welcoming people into the village via door knocking and tabling. They serve as community connectors having deep knowledge of the resources and current events in our city. When members are looking for support from or opportunities to serve our village, the Engagement Specialist is able to connect them to organizations and individuals who can help. They assist Play Cousins Collective in building out our online directory of resources and serve as mutual aid leaders by ensuring our members have access to the full range of services and experiences our rich community has to offer.
Requirements Skills:
- Well versed in telecommunications (phone calls and text messaging)
- Able to respond in a timely manner to email, texts and phone calls during work hours
- Ability to to travel to multiple local locations when necessary.
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of Child Development and family dynamics
- Excels in record keeping
- Interpersonal Skills
- Time Management Skills
- Self Motivated

Responsibilities:
- Recruit new Play Cousins Members
- Add resources to our digital directory
- Share resources and events with families in our community
- Share opportunities for community to advocate for themselves (at upcoming events or via survey)
- Update inventory and maintain materials in office
- Support/Assist parents in completing ASQ monthly
- Recruit participants for the the monthly events
- Call or porch visit with families on your list weekly
- Attend weekend PCC events as needed
- Attend Recruiting events specified by Director
- Provide and document gift card distribution at events or families home
- Community networking
- Attend PCC or community events or tabling
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
