Core Competencies Responsible for the health safety and welfare of all dogs in the facility Oversight and responsibility for cleaning of the facility Oversight of overnight guest food, medication and belongings Ability to learn dog recognition Completion of all required training, including all e-learning platforms Meal recording Ability to lovingly handle dogs up to 150 pounds Proper door control in all rooms Ability to complete spa tasks (bath, brush, ear and teeth cleaning) Ability to "own" a room of dogs Qualifications Must love dogs Consistent and timely attendance Ability to spend 100% of work time standing Ability to lift 50 pounds with no restrictions Ability to work flexible days and hours including weekends and holidays Ability to work cohesively with others in a fun, fast-paced environment Adherence to all dress code and uniform requirements Reliable transportation Personal Characteristics Detail oriented Quick thinker Emotionally intelligent Outgoing, enthusiastic by nature Fun-loving Strong observance skills Strong customer service skills Strong multi-tasker Excellent communicator Have Fun on Camera! Job Functions & Performance Standards

Dog Care & Grooming Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, gentle care to all spa dogs
• Follow breed standards and pet parent instructions
• Discuss bathing needs, recommend services and products
• Communicate clearly with manager when a service cannot be safely performed
• Document bathing details, behavior notes, and health observations and let manager know
• Maintain Dogtopia handling and safety standards
• Keep equipment clean and in good working order
• Complete all assigned cleaning and sanitation duties
• Perform additional tasks as needed

Customer Service

• Maintain confidentiality of all business and client information
• Welcome pet parents professionally and promptly
• Communicate coat care, bathing expectations, and behavior concerns

Requirements

Work Environment & Physical Abilities

• Moderate noise environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on your own
• Ability to bend, kneel, twist, pull, reach, and handle bathing equipment
• Ability to communicate with front desk and management for notes on dogs

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 6 months of professional bather training
• Must include nail trimming and nail grinding experience
