Remodeling Carpenter

Platte Pine is a design-build remodeling company based in Elkhorn, serving Omaha and the surrounding metro. We build kitchens, bathrooms, finished basements, ADUs, and whole-home remodels. We are looking for a carpenter who wants to hold that same standard on the tools.

The Opportunity

As a Remodeling Carpenter, you are the person turning approved plans and 3D renderings into a finished space. You will work across both rough and finish carpentry in occupied homes throughout the Omaha metro. Framing and layout one week, cabinetry and trim the next.

This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership of the finished product and does not need to be chased to get the details right.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Rough carpentry: framing, blocking, layout, structural modifications, subfloor, and door and window installation
• Finish carpentry: cabinetry, trim, base and casing, built-ins, doors, and hardware
• Support related scopes as the project requires, including demo, drywall repair, flooring, and paint touch-ups
• Build from plans, 3D renderings, and a defined scope of work
• Work through punch-list items so the final walkthrough is clean the first time
• Protect the client's home with floor protection, dust containment, and daily cleanup on occupied job sites
• Keep the job site organized, safe, and inspection-ready
• Flag issues early and bring solutions to the project manager instead of surprises
• Represent Platte Pine professionally with homeowners, inspectors, and trade partners

What We Are Looking For

• 3 years of residential carpentry experience; remodeling experience preferred
• Strong finish carpentry skills, including cabinetry, trim, and millwork installation
• Comfortable with rough framing and structural modifications in existing homes
• Working familiarity with demo, drywall, flooring, and paint
• Your own hand tools and standard power tools
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record
• Able to lift and carry heavy materials and stay on your feet through the day
• Able to follow a defined scope and work independently once you have it
• Professional, clean, and respectful in clients' homes, since we are guests there
• Clear communicator who shows up on time

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, on-site across the Omaha metro.

• $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, depending on experience
