Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Director to lead our facilities maintenance operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance activities across manufacturing or industrial sites. Your leadership will ensure that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Duties
- Lead and manage the facilities maintenance team, including supervising technicians and contractors to ensure high-quality work and adherence to safety standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance repair procedures for mechanical systems, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), HVAC systems, plumbing, and other facility infrastructure.
- Oversee the scheduling and execution of preventive maintenance programs using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot engineering issues related to mechanical systems, electrical circuits (using tools like ohmmeters), schematics, and industrial machinery to identify root causes swiftly.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations by conducting regular safety audits, training sessions, and maintaining accurate safety documentation.
- Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs by coordinating resources, timelines, and budgets while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment history, safety inspections, and compliance reports.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance teams within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in mechanical systems repair, HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), and industrial maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, engineering troubleshooting techniques, and the use of testing tools such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to industrial facilities and safety procedures.
- Experience managing facilities using CMMS software for work orders, asset tracking, and reporting.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communication purposes.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams, foster collaboration, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills for training staff and liaising with vendors or regulatory agencies.
