Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition.
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol guidelines.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, or troubleshooting custodial issues as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for yourself and others while managing industrial cleaning supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning procedures.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment.
- Experience with floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and visitors.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as basic repairs or residential painting is a plus.
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols at all times, ensuring a secure environment for all personnel.
