PlatinumBlack is looking for a Senior Art Director with strong digital and UI/UX capabilities to help us bring ideas to life across modern marketing ecosystems. This role is for a multi-disciplinary designer who can concept at a high level, execute with precision, and collaborate closely with strategists, copywriters, and developers to create cohesive, high-performing experiences across channels.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on expert in visual design and will work closely with our cross-disciplinary team to elevate client brands and marketing programs. As an individual contributor you will be responsible for bringing design solutions to life which adhere to marketing strategies and business goals. Creative problem-solving skills, pixel perfect precision, an appreciation for creative strategy and mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite are a must.
What You’ll Do
- Lead visual design across digital experiences, platforms, and brand ecosystems
- Translate business strategy into intuitive, elegant user experiences
- Create wireframes, UX flows, and high-fidelity UI designs in tools like Figma
- Contribute to the design of websites, digital products, and interactive platforms
- Develop design systems and scalable UI frameworks
- Partner with developers to ensure feasibility, quality, and integrity in build
- Contribute to concept development for campaigns and brand initiatives
- Design across a range of outputs: digital, social, web, motion, and more
- Ensure craft excellence and consistency across all touchpoints
- Mentor and collaborate with other designers, elevating the team’s digital fluency
- Art direct photography, video, and motion work when needed
Qualifications
- 10 years experience in art direction, product design, or digital design
- A portfolio that demonstrates:
- UI/UX work (required) — websites, platforms, digital products
- Strong visual design brand thinking
- Systems thinking (not just one-off executions)
- Expert-level Figma skills (components, auto layout, prototyping, systems)
- Experience designing real digital products or platforms (not just marketing sites)
- Strong understanding of:
- User experience principles
- Interaction design
- Responsive design
- Accessibility best practices
- Ability to move between conceptual thinking (big ideas), and hands-on execution (pixel-level detail)
- Experience collaborating closely with developers and technical teams
- Strong communication skills—you can articulate not just what you designed, but why
- High emotional intelligence and collaborative mindset
- Bonus (but valuable) skills:
- Familiarity with front-end principles (HTML/CSS/JS)
- Motion design or prototyping tools (After Effects, Principle, etc.)
- Experience in B2B, complex systems, or technical industries
