Our team is a leading Midwest-based recruiting firm partnering with a confidential private equity-backed client to identify an exceptional Controller. While our client's name remains confidential during the search process, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing industrial distribution company with approximately $200 million in annual revenue.

What You'll Do
As Controller, you will:
- Lead all accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and debt covenant reporting.
- Oversee audits, technical accounting, tax compliance, and internal controls.
- Support mergers and acquisitions, including purchase accounting and integration.
- Develop and mentor the accounting team while driving process improvements and automation.
- Partner closely with the CFO, executive leadership, lenders, auditors, and private equity sponsors.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 6 years of progressive accounting experience
- Big Four public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Experience in a private equity-backed or leveraged environment
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, cash flow management, audit leadership, and acquisition accounting
- Manufacturing or industrial distribution experience is a plus
