What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at Platinum Electrical Services Inc?
A laborer, or general laborer, performs physical tasks on job sites.
Common duties include:- Loading and unloading materials, tools and equipment
- Cleaning and preparing job sites
- Digging trenches, setting plumb and line braces for straight walls and backfilling holes
- Operating tools such as drills, saws, grinders and jackhammers
- Assisting skilled Electricians
- Following health and safety regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
- Building and dismantling scaffolding, ramps or temporary structures
- Moving materials using wheelbarrows, carts or dollies
- Must be able to speak fluent English
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have valid identification. (Drivers License, SS card or US Passport)
- Must be able to stand, squat, climb, bend, kneel, walk, push, pull, crouch and crawl for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to travel up and down ladders
- Must be able to work in tight spaces
- All other duties assigned
