Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and food service team members, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining consistency and quality standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to ensure excellence in every dish served
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain rigorous sanitation standards across the kitchen
- Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and timely execution
- Supervise shift operations, manage staffing schedules, and oversee training programs to enhance team skills and performance
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining kitchens with strong culinary skills in food production and presentation
- Extensive banquet experience with the ability to manage large-scale catering events effectively
- Supervising experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting, demonstrating leadership and team management capabilities
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience in the dietary department is highly desirable
- Familiarity with inventory management, food handling procedures, and kitchen safety protocols
- Strong background in restaurant management including menu planning, shift management, and food service operations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary certification or equivalent professional training is preferred; hands-on cooking expertise is essential
