What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler / Warehouse Person position at Plastixs?
Plastixs, a small and highly successful company located in Shrewsbury seeks a Assembly / Warehouse Person. This person is responsible for the assembly and installation of water manifold systems to meet customer specialized needs as well as handling the company’s receiving, packing and shipping to meet customer needs.
Duties include
1. Perform assembly of water manifold systems (varying from 1 – 100 manifolds, with 4-800 assembly items each per order) including the installation of valves, fittings, flow meters and magnetic base assemblies.
2. Assemble and detail fabricated items utilized in Plastixs systems.
3. Assemble custom hose assemblies using a wide range of parts and hose types.
4. Transport product into the warehouse in correct places and in a safe manner.
5. Maintain a clean work area to help ensure that merchandise remains clean and to help prevent work related injuries.
6. Interact in a cooperative and professional manner with other company personnel.
7. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations including OSHA guidelines.
8. Keeping area clean while performing duties.
Requirements:
1. Mechanical inclination and high attention to detail.
2. Manual dexterity and understanding of and ability to use manual tools including but not limited to wrenches, taps and dies, air wrenches and a manual hose crimper.
3. Ability to produce precise, reliable, and repeatable work.
4. Ability to follow work instructions and adhere to leadership directions.
5. Ability to frequently lift, move, and/or carry up to a maximum of 50 pounds, 100 team lift, by hand.
6. Active listening skills in order to understand and interpret employee and customer requirements.
