Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver).

Role Description

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for supporting daily shipping and warehouse operations, including preparing outbound shipments, coordinating carrier pickups, loading and unloading material, and ensuring orders are shipped accurately and on time. This role works closely with warehouse, production, planning, and customer service teams to support operational flow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process outbound shipments using ERP systems and carrier portals
• Generate packing slips, bills of lading (BOLs), shipping labels, commercial invoices, and related shipping documentation
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments as needed
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers, brokers, freight forwarders, and customers
• Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments
• Verify shipment quantities, labels, packaging, and documentation before release
• Prepare and stage shipments for carrier pickup
• Assist with packaging, palletizing, wrapping, and labeling finished goods
• Support receiving activities and material movement as needed
• Maintain communication with warehouse, planning, and customer service teams regarding shipment status
• Assist with inventory transactions related to shipping and receiving
• Support cycle counts and inventory verification activities
• Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
• Follow company safety procedures and warehouse policies
• Support hands-on warehouse operations as needed during high-volume periods
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–3 years of shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• ERP experience preferred; IQMS / DelmiaWorks experience is a plus
• Familiarity with LTL, FTL, and parcel shipments
• Forklift experience or certification preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Ability to lift and move material as required
