Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver).
This is an onsite position based in El Paso, TX. Relocation assistance is not provided for out-of-state applicants.

- Manage execution of POs to suppliers based on current demand, run-rate, lead time, and forecast.
- Order raw materials and services as per negotiated and appropriately approved service level agreements.
- Assist in resolving vendor raw material shortages, backlogs, quality issues and other potential schedule interruptions or delivery delays.
- Resolve any purchasing discrepancies, track and trend purchasing activity, and identify and alleviate potential risk for all supply management streams.
- Establish and maintain communication channels across various departments to support purchasing activities and ensure ongoing operational activities.
- Set up and new vendors and items when needed.
- Advise management of market conditions and supplier base activity, which could affect pricing, and/or future availability.
- Develop a thorough working knowledge of required MRP / ERP systems.
- Bring ideas to management and be able to implement necessary process improvements.
- Establish safety stocks and reorder points with the guidance of the Senior Buyer and Planning.
- Support process improvement initiatives related to purchasing, inventory, and supplier communication.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in a purchasing, planning, inventory control, or supply chain role within a manufacturing environment.
- Background in production, inventory control, supply chain management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
