About the Role
The Operations Control Center (OCC) focuses on efficiency and productivity and utilizes technology and data to improve safety and production. This person will support the US Operations Area for our customer. This will be a shift work role, working 12 hours a day on a 7/7 shift, including the night shift every second shift.
The following are key responsibilities:
Demonstrates a safety-first mentality and promotes safety in all environments.
Monitor all field facilities' safety and environmental alarms and shutdowns, working with field staff to prioritize and apply immediate corrective action to resolve the alarm or shutdown condition.
Communicate efficiently and effectively across all operating areas through verbal and written methods to customers and multiple organizational levels using a variety of communication platforms (ie. Custom Applications, Microsoft Teams, Email, Phone etc.)
Follow proper procedures for shutdown of all field equipment.
Demonstrate a consultative approach with members of the area asset teams, share knowledge freely, and participate in training fellow employees.
Operate from a computer console with multiple screens and applications, leveraging customer control and data systems. Parameters that are monitored include but are not limited to, production rates, flowing pressures, temperatures, and safety equipment.
Act as a key participant in actual and routine simulated field safety practices such as Man-down and ERP rescue procedures.
Required Qualifications
Three or more years of experience as a Lease or Control Room Operator with oil and liquids production knowledge.
Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook to interact with various technical experts across the business.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an understanding of process variable trend analysis.
Ability to identify hazards and use hazard reporting tools.
Has a positive attitude and a focus on continual improvement.
Able to manage multiple computer applications and screens at the same time.
Work within a high-stress, fast-paced environment and quickly changing environment.
Work weekends and holidays when scheduled
This role is overtime-eligible
Must be legally entitled to work in the USA
This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to the relevant requirements of Customer's Alcohol and Drug Policy.
This will be a shift work role, working 12 hours a day on a 7/7 shift, including the night shift every second shift.
Salary : $29 - $35
