Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Floater/Infant Closer to join our vibrant team! In this vital role, you will provide flexible support across classrooms, ensuring smooth daily operations and a warm, safe environment for our young learners. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create an engaging space where children thrive from infancy through preschool years.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom staff by assisting with child supervision and care during various activities
- Close classrooms at the end of the day, ensuring all children are safely transitioned and environments are tidy
- Engage with children using age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and curiosity
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily updates and any concerns in a professional manner
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid protocols when necessary
- Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance to foster positive social interactions
- Support teachers with classroom setup, cleaning, and organization to ensure a welcoming learning environment
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid is required; ongoing training encouraged
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and well-being
