Project Manager – Hospitality | Manhattan Design Studio

The Opportunity
A globally recognised, award-winning design studio is seeking a Project Manager to join its Manhattan team, delivering high-end hospitality projects across the US and internationally.

The Project Manager will take ownership of projects from concept through completion, balancing programme, budget, resources and delivery while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from concept through construction administration and completion.
- Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, budgets and resources.
- Coordinate clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Monitor project financials, including budgets, billings, forecasting and profitability.
- Review contracts, scope and project risks, proactively addressing issues before they impact delivery.
- Support procurement, pricing, FF&E budgets, change orders and additional services.
- Review drawings and documentation for coordination, quality and constructability.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings and other construction documentation.
- Attend site visits, inspections, mock-ups and factory visits, including international travel when required.
- Provide clear project reporting and communicate progress, risks and opportunities to senior leadership.
- Mentor junior team members and support resource planning and team development.
About You
You’ll be an organised, commercially minded and solutions-focused Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, design-driven environment.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- 3–5 years’ project management experience in hospitality, interior design, architecture or a related professional services environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field
- Experience managing projects through multiple phases, ideally from concept through construction.
- Strong understanding of project budgets, fees, billable hours and financial forecasting.
- Experience working with clients, consultants, contractors and vendors.
- Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, ClickUp, Unanet or Excel is advantageous.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or similar design software is a plus.
- A relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Project Management or a related field.
