About our Human Resources Payroll Assistant Position
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Human Resource Operations, the Human Resources Payroll Assistant will work closely with the Payroll Specialist and other members of the Human Resource Equity Team to ensure the accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll and to support the human resource department operational needs in various administrative tasks.
What you will be doing!
This position will provide payroll and human resources administrative support by performing a variety of payroll and administrative tasks with accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:Payroll Processing :
High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of one (1) year of directly related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience processing payroll or managing employee information in Dayforce software.
Salary Range:
$23.51 - $35.26 hourly

About our Human Resources Payroll Assistant Position

Key Responsibilities:Payroll Processing :
- Process bi-weekly payroll in the absence of the Payroll Specialist.
- Update employee payroll records including but not limited to hourly rate, salary, bonus or other compensation, union dues, time off balances, etc.
- Work closely with the Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate employee data, timesheets, tax withholdings and benefit deductions.
- Run payroll and union related reports on monthly/quarterly cadence and distribute to internal stakeholder.
- Calculate terminated employee final payouts and enter end date for payroll elections/balances.
- Conduct monthly audit of employee files to ensure compliance.
- Create and process employee termination forms in the HRIS.
- Draft and send employee memos and other documents as required according to personnel status change.
- Send new hire Acclimation Surveys.
- Send separated employee Exit Interview.
- Support I-9 process by facilitating I-9 form completion with all new hires and file according to record-keeping requirements.
- Support audit processes through recordkeeping, document management and retrieval.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
