About our Events and Engagement Coordinator position
Our Events and Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting the strategy, planning, and execution of all fundraising events, both in-person and virtual, for Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawai’i, Alaska, Indiana and Kentucky (PPGNHAIK) and Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates (PPAA). The Events and Engagement Coordinator will report directly to the Events and Engagement Manager and work closely with other PPGNHAIK development and communications team staff, PPAA staff, board members, volunteers, and other organizational staff to help achieve fundraising and engagement objectives
What will you be doing!
Supporting the Events & Engagement Manager, Director, and Annual Giving, Director of Philanthropy, Philanthropy Officers, and PPAA team to execute communications and logistics for in-person and virtual fundraising event across the six-state affiliate – Alaska, Hawai’i, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, and Washington.
Supporting the complete life cycle of fundraising events to ensure alignment with broader fundraising and stewardship goals.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless execution of all event components.
Key Responsibilities:
Associate degree
Minimum of 2 years of experience in event support or a similar non-profit or fundraising role.
Experience with event management software, ticketing platforms, and donor tracking systems (e.ge, Raiser’s Edge), as well as digital communications platforms.
Travel up to 10%
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends and needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong time and/ or project management skills with the ability to support multiple events and task simultaneously.
Comfortable interacting with donors, volunteers, vendors, and staff at all levels of the organization.
Creative and resourceful, with the ability to adapt and innovate as needed to enhance event experiences.
Salary Range:
Non-exempt $22.65 - $44.42 hourly

Key Responsibilities:
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Under the direction of the Events and Engagement Manager, collaborate with internal and external teams, volunteers, and board members to execute donor events and engagement initiatives.
- Event Calendar Management: Maintain the annual events and engagement calendar for the Development department.
- Event Planning & Execution: Support all aspects of event planning, including venue research, audio/visual needs, contract support and vendor relationships, and logistics for both in-person and virtual events.
- Event Branding & Marketing: Under the direction of the Events and Engagement Manager, coordinate with printers, designers, and internal teams to deliver compelling event branding, including invitations, marketing materials, and on-site collateral. Collaborate with the Development Operations and Marketing teams to develop event landing pages and ticketing pages.
- Event Promotion: Work with internal teams to develop content for event promotion, via emails, invitations, and social media, to ensure outreach is targeted, leads to increased engagement, and includes appropriate recognition for sponsors.
- Donor & Supporter Engagement: Serve as a point of contact for fundraising events, fostering relationships and addressing inquiries related to event activities and engagement opportunities. Coordinating event invites and stewardship materials, including print and digital formats and comprehensive surveys.
- Volunteer & Staff Management: Coordinate and implement training for staff and volunteers during events, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities and coordinating with Human Resources & Equity as needed.
- In-kind Donations: Secure in-kind donations of goods and services to enhance event resources and maximize event impact.
