What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chemist III position at Planet Pharma?
Target PR Range: 32-42/hr

- Apply analytical separation and detection modes for complex impurity profiling of pharmaceutical products to further the understanding of emerging cGMP manufacturing processes.
- Plan and execute assigned laboratory tasks utilizing standard procedures and technical understanding of various techniques to complete assigned tasks.
- Independently generate precise, reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner. Document the experimentation per the regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate experimental precision and strong data interpretation skills and should possess understanding of core discipline.
- Develop protocols for more complex tests or experiments performed with less defined assays and parameters.
- Ensures safety and GxP requirements are met when performing tasks.
- Ensures timely and GxP compliant delivery of high-quality precise data.
- Apply basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and instrument related systems.
- Presents findings of defined experiments to larger audiences.
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, Biology or related field – BA/BS with minimum 5 yrs lab experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred); master’s degree with minimum 2 yrs lab experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred); PhD degree with 5 years of academic and/or industry research experience.
- Experienced use of analytical instruments including HPLC, GC, LC/MS, and chromatography data systems (i.e., Empower, Openlab, Chromeleon).
- Strong documentation skills, familiarity of GMP, GLP. Able to present experimental findings to larger groups. Strong communication skills.
