Job Description
The Chemist III is responsible for the coordination and organization of stability or reference standard studies to ensure seamless daily operations related to procurement, dispensing, studying, analyzing, and reporting of these studies. The role requires ensuring compliance with Stability and Reference Standard Operations while interfacing with cross-functional teams to request samples, resolve issues, and implement new studies.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely stability services to ensure required studies are initiated in alignment with filing strategies and business needs.
- Ensure stability protocols are written, materials are obtained, and samples are placed into chambers on time.
- Revise studies as needed to prevent interruptions or protocol deviations.
- Load, review, and verify static tables to ensure data accuracy.
- Review, analyze, and trend data to identify potential negative or aberrant results.
- Communicate findings with management, quality, and laboratory teams.
- Initiate exception reports as needed.
- Compile clear and concise graphical and tabular summaries of data.
- Author, review, and approve change control documentation.
- Develop and write reports, including verification of study results and findings.
- Coordinate across internal systems (including LIMS platforms) to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of study data.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a laboratory-based role with a strong emphasis on data analysis.
- Experience working in QC or R&D laboratory environments, such as stability or analytical testing.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques such as HPLC or similar analytical methods.
- Familiarity with LIMS systems.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a structured, fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure accuracy in reporting and documentation.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
This position is primarily office-based with a focus on data analysis, reporting, and study coordination. The role involves limited hands-on laboratory work.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
