- Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico 88011
- Healthcare Setting: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Job Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 09/02/2025 – End: 12/02/2025)
- Nursing Shift: 10-hour day shifts (08:00–18:00)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Orientation: Weekly, every Monday
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1950 - $2000
- Active RN license in New Mexico or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs)
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU nursing experience
- Current certifications required prior to start (BLS, ACLS preferred)
- Must reside at least 60 miles from Las Cruces to qualify as a travel nurse
- Fingerprinting and background check required per New Mexico healthcare regulations (waiver available for first 14 days under supervision)
- Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams for safe patient transitions
- Provide compassionate nursing care and education to patients and families
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital protocols
