Estimated Weekly Salary
- Weekly Salary Range: $2020 - $2070
- Assignment Type: Locum tenens (travel nursing contract)
- Unit: Advanced Heart Failure (IMC/CC)
- Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/13/2025 – End: 1/12/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratios: Typically 2-4:1; ICU travelers capped at 3:1 when possible
- Location: Norfolk, VA 23507 (Virginia nursing jobs)
- Active RN license (Virginia or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
- Experience with advanced heart failure therapies preferred
- Proficient in titrating vasoactive drips and managing critical care equipment
- Adaptable to varying patient assignments and unit needs
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with complex cardiac and critical care needs
- Monitor and manage advanced heart failure therapies and related equipment (LVAD, Impella, bedside monitors)
- Titrate vasoactive drips (Milrinone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Norepinephrine, Vasopressin, Lidocaine, Nicardipine, Cardizem, Nitroglycerin)
- Administer and monitor IV medications and drips (Heparin, Angiomax, Glucommander, Protonix, Octreotide, IVIG, antivirals, IV antibiotics)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Support unit staffing needs during critical situations with flexibility
