Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details
- Location: Anchorage, Alaska (99508) – Alaska healthcare jobs
- Facility Setting: Cardiac Stepdown Unit (CVOR)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse – Locum Tenens
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025, End: 12/22/2025)
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), plus call (5-6 call shifts every 4 weeks, may vary up to 15 per month)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2810 - $2880
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Active, permanent Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska (required for submission)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a cardiac stepdown unit or cardiovascular surgery unit
- Ability to participate in scheduled call shifts
- Strong clinical nursing skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac and cardiovascular surgery
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status; respond promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide post-operative care
- Ensure accurate and efficient documentation of patient care
- Participate in call shifts as scheduled to maintain continuous patient coverage
