Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Operations with a strong background in aviation parts sales and operations. This role is responsible for managing the full sales process, overseeing warehouse and inventory operations, and ensuring daily business execution meets aviation industry standards. The ideal candidate understands aircraft parts compliance, thrives in a sales-driven environment, and can lead teams while improving operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesAviation Parts Sales Management
- Oversee the complete aviation parts sales cycle, from RFQ to shipment and invoicing
- Ensure accurate quoting, pricing, and margin control
- Manage customer relationships with operators, MROs, and brokers
- Improve sales workflows, follow-ups, and CRM processes
- Support sourcing efforts to meet customer demand and turnaround times
Aviation Parts & Warehouse Operations
- Manage warehouse operations for aviation components, including receiving, inspection, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping
- Ensure full compliance with aviation regulations and documentation (8130-3, traceability, certifications, and records)
- Maintain accurate inventory records and lot control
- Implement procedures to prevent inventory errors, mis-tags, or documentation issues
Day-to-Day Business Operations
- Oversee daily operations to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate between sales, warehouse, logistics, and accounting
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements
- Ensure compliance with FAA, customer, and internal quality requirements
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage sales support and warehouse staff
- Set performance expectations and provide coaching and training
- Build accountability around accuracy, speed, and compliance
Reporting & Growth Support
- Track key metrics such as sales cycle time, order accuracy, inventory turnover, and margins
- Support ownership with operational planning, budgeting, and growth initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in aviation parts sales and/or aviation parts operations
- Strong working knowledge of aircraft parts documentation, traceability, and compliance
- Proven experience managing or supporting aviation parts sales processes
- Experience overseeing warehouse and inventory operations
- Ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional workflows
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with aircraft operators, MROs, or aviation brokers
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and industry best practices
- Experience with aviation inventory systems, CRM tools, and ERP software
