- Administer general anesthetics, monitor vital signs, and respond to emergencies.
- Prepare and set up anesthesia drugs, supplies, and equipment, testing gas machines and ensuring readiness.
- Assess patient records to predict anesthetic effects, explain procedures, and position patients appropriately.
- Supervise and instruct student nurse anesthetists, residents, interns, and allied health students.
- Assist in patient transfer, monitor post-anesthesia recovery, and take remedial measures as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of administered anesthetics and report activities periodically.
- Disassemble and clean equipment, report repairs, and uphold safety standards.
- Graduate of an accredited MSN, DNP, or DNAP CNRA program.
- CRNA certification eligibility by AANA; current RN licensure recognized by NCBON.
- New graduates are welcome; no prior experience beyond education and training required.
