Role Overview: Performs routine and specialized laboratory tests for disease diagnosis and treatment, utilizing equipment, instruments, and computer systems.
Responsibilities: Evaluates and reports patient results with independent judgment, maintains quality control, updates knowledge, and assists in developing new procedures.
Acts as a resource for less experienced staff, trains new employees or students, and may oversee laboratory projects related to safety, quality, regulatory, or administrative tasks.
Works independently and collaboratively under supervision.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires an Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science, with a preference for Bachelor's Degree.
Licensure through the American Society for Clinical Pathology or similar credentialing agency is preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in clinical laboratory testing, including moderate to high complexity tests, is preferred.
Additional Requirements: Maintains age-specific competencies and performs quality control procedures to ensure accurate laboratory operations.
