Role Overview

The Medical Assistant II (MA II) supports licensed practitioners in providing patient care within a clinical setting.

They perform all duties of an MA I and are fully competent in clinical functions specific to their assigned location, adhering to policies, procedures, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in patient care tasks such as obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
  • Perform clinical duties independently and efficiently under delegation.
  • Ensure compliance with established clinical policies and safety standards.
  • Support a patient-focused, respectful, and collaborative care environment.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program, registered medical assistant program, or military medical training, or have at least one year of clinical MA experience.
  • Current Washington Medical Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Healthcare and medical assistant experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills, communication, and teamwork abilities.
