- Assist in directing nursing care for the unit, delegate tasks to staff, and monitor performance.
- Observe patients for physical and mental changes, report symptoms, and notify physicians of emergencies or changes in patient condition.
- Implement physician orders and perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma and graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Valid nursing license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Ability to work as a charge nurse and assist during emergencies.
- Commitment to providing quality geriatric nursing care, with current CPR certification and participation in ongoing training.
