Role: The Stepdown RN provides specialized nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general units, requiring close monitoring and complex interventions.
Responsibilities: Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, assist with procedures, observe and record patient responses, respond to emergencies, educate patients on cardiac health, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care.
Qualifications: One year of recent stepdown experience, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred certifications include PCCN and NIHSS.
Skills: Critical thinking, interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in English, physical ability to move equipment and assist procedures, strong motor skills, and the capacity to work under pressure while maintaining confidentiality.
