Job Summary
Under the medical supervision of an Anesthesiologist, administers general and regional anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, and other procedures across all age groups, including neonatal to geriatric patients. Responsibilities include airway management, fluid and homeostasis maintenance, monitoring, emergency response, and ventilator management.

Under the medical supervision of an Anesthesiologist, administers general and regional anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, and other procedures across all age groups, including neonatal to geriatric patients. Responsibilities include airway management, fluid and homeostasis maintenance, monitoring, emergency response, and ventilator management.
Essential Responsibilities
- Follow policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Pre-operatively evaluate patients and collaborate with anesthesiologists on anesthetic plans.
- Assess patient responses to medications and communicate with surgical team.
- Check and prepare anesthesia equipment and drugs, administer anesthesia, and monitor patients intraoperatively.
- Manage postoperative patient stability, including within 24 hours post-surgery.
- Precept student nurse anesthetists, maintain controlled substances, and ensure equipment readiness.
- Interact courteously with patients and staff, and perform additional duties within scope as needed.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
- Registered Nurse License and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist certification in California.
- National Provider Identifier and certifications in ACLS and BLS.
- Experience with extensive monitoring, fluid, blood, and electrolyte management for diverse age groups.
- Strong technical, clinical, documentation, and communication skills, with a focus on professionalism and staff development.
