Role Overview: The Surgical Tech performs technical duties to support obstetric surgeries and patient care in Labor & Delivery and Women's Health. They assist with procedures such as cesarean deliveries, hysterectomies, and circumcisions, ensuring aseptic techniques, setting up sterile equipment, and maintaining surgical environments.

- Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care.
- Support surgical procedures by handling instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and ensuring equipment functionality.
- Collect specimens, perform bedside diagnostics, and support patient ADLs under supervision.
- Monitor vital signs, record clinical data, and support emergency interventions as needed.
- Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and comfort while supporting team communication and safety protocols.
- Order, stock, and ensure sterile supply integrity; participate in environmental and quality improvement initiatives.
- Certified Surgical Tech and CNA certifications required; completion of accredited surgical training program.
- 2 years recent clinical experience, including L&D and scrub experience.
- MD or DC CNA license; pending licenses accepted with proof of application.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Strong knowledge of obstetric procedures, aseptic techniques, and clinical tasks such as specimen collection, IV insertion, and vital signs.
- Ability to work in a team, adapt to rotating shifts, and support float coverage across departments.
