Position Purpose:
This position will work closely with the plant controller in his/her daily, weekly, and monthly task in managing financial results, and will need to possess strong process management and critical thinking skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Review for accuracy then record daily manufacturing - usage and consumption?
- Managing receipts, settlements, sales, invoicing, billing, payments, books, records, and financial statements.
- Overseeing company accounting activities.
- Enter all contracts for AR and AP?
- Fill out and submit monthly govt reports, including Tonnage Taxes and Sorghum Checkoff?
- Assist with internal and external audits?
- Provide support to the front desk and AP Clerk.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counting, parts tracking, etc
- Help streamline existing processes and create new procedures.
- Assist with organizing and general housekeeping of warehouse??
- Filing end of the month or year reports to the provincial security regulatory authority
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- 1 to 3 years of experience preferred in accounting, financial planning and analysis, inventory, or asset control at a renewable fuel’s organization, but will train the right candidate?
- Analytics and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of different accounting software and spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel
