Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the mechanical design process for assigned projects.
- Prepare design documents in line with project requirements and industry standards.
- Mentor and guide mechanical team members to support professional growth.
- Monitor project progress and ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage design documentation to allow for QA/QC review prior to submission.
- Coordinate staffing needs with project management on a weekly basis.
- Participate in the recruitment process by interviewing and providing candidate feedback.
- Contribute to at least 10 hours of in-house continuing education annually, including presenting topics of expertise.
- Review and track mechanical design budgets and adjust resources as necessary in collaboration with project managers.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business.
Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with approximately 10 years of experience.
- Proven background in mechanical design for healthcare, education, commercial, federal, and light industrial projects.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and with external consultants.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage teams.
- Occasional night and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
