Placers Professional, on behalf of our prestigious client, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their Tax Services group in Wilmington, DE, or Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will manage tax engagements from start to finish, providing comprehensive tax planning, compliance, and advisory services. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and family offices, while developing and implementing tax strategies aligned with their goals. The Tax Manager will also lead, mentor, and grow a team of professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. You will work closely with firm leadership on engagement planning, client onboarding, process improvements, and leveraging technology to streamline workflows and enhance client deliverables.
Requirements:
- CPA or EA required.
- Master’s in Taxation, JD, or related advanced credential preferred
- 5 years of progressive tax experience, ideally at a Big 4, leading regional firm, or large company with over 1 billion in revenue.
- Expertise in S corporations, partnerships, and trust taxation is essential, along with strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
- proven leadership, client advisory, and communication skills, as well as a commitment to the firm’s values of fairness, honesty, respect, flexibility, and strong work ethic.
- Ability and willingness to be in the office an average of four days per week in Wilmington or Philadelphia locations, as well as a willingness to work approximately 48–50 hours per week.
