Duties
- Assist escrow officers in preparing, reviewing, and organizing escrow documentation for real estate transactions
- Verify borrower information, including credit analysis and loan eligibility details, ensuring compliance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and underwriting standards
- Process loan files by entering data accurately into systems such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act) disclosures, contracts, and other legal documents
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and clients to facilitate timely communication and document exchange
- Ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations and other federal or state compliance requirements throughout the escrow process
- Support mortgage servicing activities by tracking loan statuses, updating records, and assisting with escrow account management
- Perform basic math calculations using 10-key typing skills to verify figures related to loan amounts, taxes, insurance premiums, and escrow disbursements
Skills
- Strong understanding of FNMA guidelines, underwriting processes, and loan origination procedures
- Experience with loan processing, credit analysis, and mortgage servicing operations
- Knowledge of TILA regulations, contracts management, and banking practices related to real estate financing
- Familiarity with escrow procedures, fair housing laws, and compliance standards in financial services
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in basic math calculations and 10-key typing for accurate data entry and verification
