Requirements / Qualifications
Internal Applicants: Although an Edjoin application is the only requirement for internal applicants: it is recommended that you include all items to allow all panel members a complete view of your qualifications and background. External Applicants: * Must possess the required level of education in order to obtain the appropriate authorization from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) for the position. * Must possess an appropriate California teaching credential with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing authorization, Communication Handicapped or the ability to obtain alternative certification. * Must posses or have the ability to obtain English Learner Authorization. * Possess documentation of American Sign Language Proficiency Interview (ASLPI)/Sign Language Proficiency Interview minimum score of 4.0 or equivalent assessment. * If hired, must provide proof of a valid California driver's license.
- Copy of Transcript (Proof of Bachelor's degree)
- Credential Copy (California Teaching Credential with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Authorization, Communication Handicapped or the ability to obtain alternative certification.)
- English Learner Authorization (Proof of or have the ability to obtain English Learners Authorization)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two Letters of Recommendation are required-each letter must be dated and have a signature)
