What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent — Charleston position at Placed?
We are recruiting for multiple Superintendent openings with an established commercial general contractor in Charleston, South Carolina.
The company is looking for experienced field leaders who can take ownership of projects, coordinate subcontractors and keep construction moving safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
What You'll Be Doing
• Lead day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects
• Manage subcontractors and coordinate trades
• Maintain project schedules and drive key milestones
• Lead site safety and quality control
• Coordinate with Project Managers, owners and project teams
• Manage inspections, punch lists and project closeout
• Identify field issues early and help keep projects on schedule
What We're Looking For
• Superintendent experience with a commercial general contractor
• Strong ground-up commercial construction experience
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and field operations
• Ability to read plans, coordinate schedules and manage project priorities
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience taking projects from construction through closeout
